On Thursday, November 21st Mariam Boyd hosted their annual Multicultural Extravaganza. The Extravaganza, which is organized by Art teacher Ms. Sheila Robertson, allots students an opportunity to widen their world lens as they take part in learning centered around global awareness and other cultures.
Prior to the Multicultural Extravaganza students participate in lessons regarding their chosen country, create art projects, and engage in classroom conversations designed to grow their understanding of countries around the world.
The program consisted of song and dance from each of Mariam Boyd's grade level including performances representing the following countries:
The program was a huge success and could not have happened without the hard work of the Multicultural committee, students, and staff. Thank you to all who attended and we are already looking forward to next year's event!
