Each October, schools and organizations across the country join in observing National Bullying Prevention Month. The goal of these awareness efforts are simple: encourage schools, communities and organizations to work together to stop bullying and cyberbullying and put an end to hatred and racism by increasing awareness of the prevalence and impact of all forms of bullying on all children of all ages.
This month, students at Mariam Boyd have participated in virtual activities, learned about the dangers of bullying, and worn blue in honor of National Bullying Prevention Month. Teachers have worked hard to incorporate Bullying Prevention materials and lessons in an effort to educate students on the dangers of bullying, and prevent these issues from plaguing our school systems. Lessons have included reading materials, group conversations, and brainstorming as to how we can prevent bullying- both in school as well as virtually.
We are so proud of our Eagles and grateful for the efforts put forth daily from our awesome staff members. Stay tuned for more exciting news and updates regarding what's happening at Mariam Boyd!
