Classes Cancelled For Students

Warren County Schools families and staff,

Schools will be closed to students Thursday, February 16, 2023. Tomorrow’s early release day is being changed to a full day teacher workday for staff professional development. We apologize for the late notice.

This change was prompted by an altercation that started on a school bus Wednesday afternoon involving multiple students from multiple schools and requiring assistance from law enforcement. The safety of our students and staff is always our top priority. We are keeping all students home Thursday out of an abundance of caution and to allow time for administrators to investigate Wednesday’s incident.

We will identify violations of school board policy in order to apply appropriate disciplinary action for each student involved in the altercation. In addition…law enforcement is investigating to determine criminal behavior and any legal charges.

Families - we need help from you and your students to keep our campuses and our buses safe. Disruptive or aggressive behavior will not be tolerated. Please talk with your student about how to appropriately handle disagreements. We also urge you and your student to report any concerns to a staff member as soon as possible, so it can be quickly investigated and addressed.

Thank you for your partnership and your continued support.

Today is School Nurse Day! It’d take much more than a single day to adequately celebrate our School Nurses! These professionals have been non-stop throughout the Pandemic... caring for students and staff, contact tracing COVID cases, connecting families to school and community resources, helping manage chronic conditions, training staff, administering medications, creating health guidelines for the district, coordinating with local, state and federal health officials, and the list goes on and on. Thank your school nurse for helping keep our schools open, helping keep our students and staff healthy, and their commitment to staying and working in Warren County to serve our families. #SND2022 #EverydayHeroes #WarrenProud #ThankANurse #SchoolNursesTeachUsAll
