Greetings Vaughan Families,
Happy New Year! We hope everyone had a wonderful and restful Winter Break.
This is Principal Mrs. McMannen with your weekly update. Please remember that tomorrow, Monday, January 5th, is a Teacher Workday, so there will be no school for students. Students will return to school on Tuesday, January 6th, and we are looking forward to welcoming them back.
Our Middle-of-the-Year (MOY) testing window opens this week. Over the next three weeks, students will participate in multiple assessments. Please encourage your child to do their very best, so their results accurately reflect all they have learned so far this year.
As part of our School Improvement Plan, our student attendance goal is 95%. We ask for your support by ensuring your child attends school daily unless they are sick. Additionally, we kindly ask that early check-outs be reserved for emergencies only, as leaving school early causes students to miss valuable instructional time.
