Greetings Vaughan Families,

We hope you had a wonderful weekend! We have a busy and exciting week ahead at Vaughan Elementary.

Family Reading Night – Thursday, November 20th at 6:00 PM

We are excited to host our first Family Reading Night this Thursday at 6:00 PM in the media center. We look forward to an evening of literacy activities and quality time together. We hope to see all of our families there!

Annual Thanksgiving Feast – Thursday, November 20th

Our Child Nutrition Department will hold its annual Thanksgiving Feast on Thursday. Your child will bring home the class schedule for this event tomorrow, and it has also been shared with families on Class Dojo. Additionally, the Child Nutrition Department is asking families to bring the correct amount of money when paying for lunch, as limited change will be available. Please avoid bringing large bills.

Attendance Update

Our student attendance rate for the week was 91.32%. Our School Improvement attendance goal is 95%. This is an important focus for us because attendance matters—consistent, daily attendance is critical to your child’s academic success. Thank you for supporting your child in being present and on time each day. Let’s have another great week of teaching and learning! Remember, All In… We Win!

Warm regards,
Sophelia McMannen
