Greetings Vaughan Families,
We hope you had a wonderful weekend! Thank you to all who came out to support our first Family Reading Night! We had a wonderful turnout, and everyone enjoyed the delicious boba drinks. Our students were especially excited to take home a free book, continuing to foster a love of reading. We look forward to seeing you at our December Family Reading Night, where our theme will be “Pancakes and Pajamas!”
This will be an abbreviated school week. Thanksgiving Break begins on Wednesday, November 26th, as Wednesday is a Teacher Workday and there will be no school for students.
A friendly reminder that Science Fair Projects are due on Monday, December 1st, for all 3rd, 4th, and 5th-grade students. Please ensure your child is working on their project board this week if it has not yet been completed.
Our student attendance rate for last week was 90.56%. Our School Improvement Plan goal is 95%, and we need your support to reach it. You can help by making sure your child attends school every day unless they are sick. Attendance is essential for academic success.
We hope you all enjoy a safe and happy Thanksgiving Break. Remember, All In… We Win!
Warm regards,
Sophelia McMannen
Principal, Vaughan Elementary School
