This Week at VES
I hope you all are enjoying your weekend! Our After School Academic Support Program for our 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders is ongoing. Students receiving Math support will stay after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Students receiving ELA support will stay after school on Wednesdays. School is closed on Friday, March 29th, for the Good Friday holiday. School is closed the week of April 1st through 5th for Spring Break. Students return to school on Monday, April 8th.
Our instructional school day is 8:00 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Students may enter the building at 7:40 a.m. The tardy bell rings at 8:00 a.m. Students arriving after 8:00 are considered late and must be signed in. An adult must accompany students to the door and sign them in after 8:00 a.m.
The end of the day is a busy time at Vaughan Elementary. We will not accept any transportation changes after 2:30 p.m. The cutoff time to check students out early is also 2:30 p.m. Students lose valuable instruction time when they leave school early. Please help us keep early checkouts to a minimum.
Parents, please help keep our students safe by remaining in your vehicle during arrival and dismissal. This process will help improve our student safety. Your cooperation and patience are appreciated as we work together to keep our students safe.
