Picture of Vaughan Elementary Principal Sophelia McMannen Principal’s Weekly Message

Greetings Vaughan Families,

This is Principal Mrs. McMannen with your weekly update. I hope everyone is staying safe and warm. Due to inclement weather, Warren County Schools will have a remote learning day tomorrow, Monday, January 26

Remote learning packets were distributed to all students. Students must complete the assignments in the packet in order to be counted present for the remote learning day. Teachers will also be issuing grades for these assignments, so it is very important that students complete all work and return it to their teacher when we return to school.

Teachers will be available to assist students and answer any questions parents may have. Families may log into their child’s Google Classroom for additional support or questions. The link to the district’s Remote Learning Plan is posted on our school website under the Principal’s Weekly Message section. Warren County Schools Remote Learning Plan

Our weekly student attendance rate was 78.08%, as many students were out sick with the flu. We hope everyone is feeling better and able to return to school healthy soon.

We are excited to share that Awards Day will be held on Friday, January 30th. More details will be shared by your child’s teacher.

The district will continue to keep families updated regarding any school closures. Thank you for your continued support and partnership. Let’s have a great week! Remember: All In… We Win!

Warm regards,
Sophelia McMannen
Principal, Vaughan Elementary School
