School Message: Thursday, October 5, 2023

It’s with a heavy heart that we share some sad news. One of our 9th graders died unexpectedly Wednesday night. Out of respect for the family and their privacy, I cannot provide any additional information about the student.

The loss of one of our students affects our entire Warren County Schools family. Every person is different, and the emotional response to a death may vary in duration. Through encouraging discussion, being supportive of feelings, providing factual information and suggesting positive outlets you can help your student better deal with this event.

A team of counselors and social workers were available today and are available to provide support to students as needed. If you feel that your student would benefit from talking to someone, please encourage them to tell a teacher or staff member or you may call the school and request they talk with someone.

Our hearts are with the student’s family and friends as we extend our deepest sympathy and share in their mourning. Please keep them in your thoughts during this difficult time.
