Graduation is a special milestone and a celebration of your accomplishments. This year, Warren County High School will allow seniors to decorate their graduation caps as a way to express pride in their journey and future plans. To ensure the ceremony remains respectful and organized, all cap decorations must follow the guidelines below:
APPROVED DECORATION AREA
Decorations must be placed only on the flat top surface of the graduation cap (mortarboard).
Decorations may not hang over the edges of the cap.
The tassel must remain visible and functional.
The cap must remain flat enough to sit properly on your head.
SIZE AND ATTACHMENT
Decorations must be securely attached so they do not fall off during the ceremony.
Materials must be lightweight.
Decorations may not extend more than 1 inch above the cap surface.
Items such as lights, balloons, moving parts, or noise-making devices are not permitted.
APPROPRIATE CONTENT
All decorations must be school appropriate and respectful. Caps may NOT include:
Profanity or inappropriate language
References to drugs, alcohol, or illegal activity
Offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate images or symbols
Political campaign messages
Messages that target or disrespect individuals or groups
APPROVAL & FINAL REVIEW
School administration reserves the right to review graduation caps prior to the ceremony.
Caps that do not meet these guidelines may need to be removed or covered before participating in graduation.
REMEMBER
Graduation is a formal ceremony honoring all graduates and their families. Your cap decoration should reflect pride, positivity, and respect for this important milestone.
Congratulations, Class of 2026! We are proud of you and excited to celebrate your accomplishments.
