Warren County Schools is inviting students, alumni, families, staff, and community members to submit nominations for individuals whose names may be considered for the Warren County High School Gymnasium Floor and Football Field.
The nomination process is part of the district's implementation of Board Policy 9300: Naming of Facilities, which provides a formal framework for recognizing individuals whose lives, leadership, service, and accomplishments have made a significant and lasting impact on Warren County Schools and the broader community.
Over the years, the district has received requests from stakeholders seeking to honor individuals who have demonstrated exceptional achievement, sustained excellence, dedicated service, and meaningful contributions to public education. In response, Warren County Schools strengthened and clarified its procedures through Regulation 9300-R1 to ensure the process remains transparent, equitable, and consistent.
"Naming a school facility is one of the highest honors a community can bestow," said Dr. Dennis Carrington, Chief Operations Officer of Warren County Schools. "This process allows us to thoughtfully recognize individuals whose legacy reflects the values, excellence, and commitment that define Warren County Schools."
The regulation establishes:
• A structured process for submitting naming requests
• A formal application to ensure consistency and completeness
• An ad hoc review committee that includes the Facilities Committee Chair
• A defined review and recommendation process for submission to the Superintendent and Board of Education
• Clear evaluation criteria related to service, leadership, impact, and contributions to the district and community
Community members may submit nomination applications and supporting documentation through the district's official nomination process. All submissions will be reviewed in accordance with Board Policy 9300 and Regulation 9300-R1.
The district encourages stakeholders to consider individuals whose contributions have positively influenced generations of students, strengthened educational opportunities, and helped advance the mission of Warren County Schools.
