Warren County Schools are closed on Friday, September 27, 2024 due to the threat of high winds, rain, and possible power outages from Hurricane Helene. The safety of our students and staff is our top priority.

You're invited to the Community Indian Education Back to School Powwow on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 from 6 - 8 p.m. at Doe Spun (403 Gibbs Avenue, Hollister, NC 27823).
The free powwow will feature Native American student dancers, Native American drumming, giveaways, raffles, and an opportunity to learn about Haliwa-Saponi traditions and culture.
Food will be available for purchase, including fry bread! Free $5 meal tickets will be provided for Title VI Indian Ed Students with 506 forms on file and enrolled in Haliwa-Saponi Tribal School, Halifax County, Warren County, and Nash County Public Schools. 506 Forms will be available for parents/guardians to complete for qualifying students if needed.
The powwow is sponsored by Title VI Indian Education Programs, Haliwa-Saponi Tribal School, Halifax County Schools, Warren County Schools, Nash County Schools, parents, & community members.
