Special thank you to everyone today for your cooperation during early dismissal today. Our phones and internet were all down today. We appreciate the District reaching out to all the families to share the District -wide early release message. Kudos to our Northside bus drivers for all arriving safely to their destinations. We appreciated all car rider parents who were at the school to pick up their children. Thank you to all the Northside staff members for checking in with an administrator prior to leaving to ensure all students were accounted for prior to leaving. Thank you also to the cafeteria staff for preparing lunch service early today. One Love Covid-19 testing was started today, and will continue tomorrow.

Attention Parents & Staff: Due to the threat of inclement weather Warren County Schools will be having early dismal at 12:00pm today.

Northside Parent Reminder:
The winter holiday will begin starting on December 20, 2021 and will end on January 3, 2022. All students and staff are due back on Monday, January 3, 2022.
Special congratulations to Mrs. Chiniqua Taylor for being elected as Northside K-8 School Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Taylor was also recognized by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction as a Teacher of Excellence from the Exceptional Children's Department. We also congratulate Mrs. Ebony Jones for being elected Northside K-8 School Beginning Teacher of the Year.

Santa Letters Warren Record Due December 8th, 2021.
According to the Warren Record Newspaper " Letters should be legible and include the child's name, age and town where he/she lives. If a class sends letters please include the name of the school, names of the teachers and grade level. " We will bring all the letters from Northside and take them directly to the Warren Record. Northside Parent Title I Accountability Virtual Night Thursday, December 9, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. The link will be sent out via Dojo and on a flyer tomorrow. The presentation will only last about 30 minutes.

Quarantined symptom free students who test negative, and have been fully vaccinated are able to return to school. Documentation of vaccination status must be presented upon or prior arrival. Just a reminder, that there will be no school starting this Wednesday, November 23, 2021 thru November 28, 2021 due to the Thanksgiving Holiday. Students return back to school on November 29, 2021.
Special thank you to Mrs. Perry Cafeteria Manager and her entire staff for serving a delicious Thanksgiving feasts for students and staff last Thursday. An additional thank you goes out our teacher mentor Mrs. Phyllis Williams for bring fresh bakery donuts for the entire staff to acknowledge Educator’s Month. She also gave each teacher she mentor’s a goodie bag.

Notices and copies of your child's report card went home today with your child. Original report cards will be mailed home after teacher conferences. Tomorrow October 14, 2021 is a half day (12:30 p.m. dismissal), due to virtual parent teacher conferences from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, October 15, 2021 there is no school for students and virtual parent teacher conferences will continue until 12:00 p.m. Parents if you have not scheduled a conference please reach out to your child's teacher. Special thank you to all the parents who have scheduled an appointment. We value and appreciate all the teachers and staff members who will be working late in an effort to meet our parents conferencing needs.

Special thank you to Office Hargrove who was visiting/making rounds today, and pointed this issue out to us. We will be following up with a tech order to ensure this matter is addressed.

Northside Virtual Parent Teacher Conferences October 14, 2021:
A google parent conference sign up online document link will be posted starting on Monday, October 11, 2021. Several teachers would like to sign up their students' parents directly, if this is the case teachers will notify the parents directly no later than Monday, October 11, 2021. If you have not done so already, parents please reach out to your child's teacher regarding any missed assignments, because all grades are due on Monday, October 11, 2021.
