We are continuing our Native American Heritage Month celebration with a day of fun and learning. To our parents and community members who assisted, thank you for your support and participation in our Native American Heritage Month celebration. It was a fantastic day filled with fun and learning for our scholars.
Our school family would like to give a special shoutout to Mrs. Bender, Ms. Williams, and the members of the WECHS Indigenous Peoples Club for their outstanding organization and facilitation of the program. They did an amazing job!
The program included scholar-led sessions, a Scavenger Hunt, and various stations covering topics such as representation, regalia, traditions, and more. The frybread was a big hit too!
Parents and community members, thank you again for your contributions in making this program a huge success. We truly appreciate your involvement in our school community.

Help us celebrate our Scientists of the Month! A great scientist is positive, inquisitive, and determined to find the answers to the world's anomalies. These scholars have shown these qualities and have shared them with the world.
Congratulations, Aryana!

WECHS would like to express our gratitude to our families for allowing your child(ren) to join us on our recent field trip to The National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, D.C. It was a wonderful experience for all of us!
During the trip, we had the opportunity to explore the museum and its exhibitions, which are spread across 4 levels. Our scholars learned so much about the rich history and culture of Native American tribes.
Please enjoy our photos!

We are thrilled to share that our newly formed Adopt-A-Highway Club has recently partnered with Dr. Erica Shoulders-Royster for our first highway cleaning service project. Yesterday, we cleaned Stagecoach Road, which was adopted in loving memory of Officer Greg Shoulders.
Moving forward, we will be cleaning quarterly and are always on the lookout for volunteers to assist.
Our aim is to continue to cultivate a spirit of service and give back to our community!

Last Friday, we celebrated our school's performance grade of A with a day of fun and fellowship. Scholars had the opportunity to choose from various engaging stations, including basketball at John Graham Rec Center, e-gaming, Uno, kickball, karaoke, cornhole, badminton, line dancing, and football. Mr. Daniel Williams, a parent volunteer, kindly volunteered to grill lunch for us. It was truly a day filled with joy and excitement.
We are working diligently to maintain our A grade this year, and I am confident that the best is yet to come! Thank you again for your unwavering support.
