UNC CHAPEL HILL PLANETARIUM AND CAMPUS IMMERSION!! Thanks to the efforts of Mr. and Mrs. Eaton in securing grant funding, our Freshmen and Sophomores traveled to the historical UNC Chapel Hill Planetarium to explore galaxies, black holes, and constellations. Students answered questions based on what they learned in science class and were intrigued by galactic and interstellar simulations projected above them. Following the presentation, students conducted a walking tour of the campus with Taylor Williams, VGCC Warren Campus Liaison and UNCCH Alumna, leading the way while pointing out historical points of interest. The final campus immersion highlight of the day was dining among Tarheel students in the cafeteria, featuring a wide variety of freshly prepared food options. Shout out of thanks to Mr. & Mrs. Eaton, Ms. Jordan, Ms. Davis, and Ms. Williams for serving as Chaperones. WECHS Scholars now have a frame of reference for a large university campus and are on their way to making informed decisions about their future!
