Community Engagement Meeting Updates on Consolidated Elementary School March 17 2026 at 6pm Warrenton NC
❤️ Making History. Saving Lives. ❤️ On February 25, 2026, our staff and scholars proudly participated in the World Record Hands-Only CPR Training Event! Hands-Only CPR is simple. Hands-Only CPR is powerful. Hands-Only CPR saves lives. We are incredibly proud that our WECHS family took part in something bigger than ourselves — learning a life-saving skill that could truly make the difference in an emergency. A special thank you to Mr. Chris Tucker of Warren County Emergency Management Services and the dedicated volunteers who took the time to train, guide, and empower our staff and scholars with this valuable knowledge. Your service to our community does not go unnoticed, and we are deeply grateful! At WECHS, we prepare for the 3 E’s — Enroll, Enlist, Employ — and most importantly, we prepare for LIFE. 💚

We are incredibly thankful for our supportive community partners who continue to pour into our scholars. A very special thank you to Mr. Corei Sommerville and Ms. Kyiandra Sommerville of Soulbachi Afro Asian Fusion and Mr. Ron Judkins of Trinity Eats — two outstanding Black-owned businesses — for providing our entire school with a delicious afternoon hibachi snack! Your generosity, partnership, and commitment to our scholars do not go unnoticed. Because of you, our celebration was not only meaningful, but flavorful too! 🔥🍚 We appreciate your continued support and the example you set for entrepreneurship and community excellence.

Yesterday, our scholars led an incredible Black History Month Celebration filled with learning, leadership, and fellowship! From engaging sessions on historical figures, to exploring the history of band, to hands-on crafts, and of course celebrating culture through food — our scholars truly shined as presenters and facilitators. The day was a beautiful reminder that Black history is rich, powerful, creative, and alive in the voices of our young leaders. We are so proud of our scholars for not just participating — but leading. 💚✨

💚💙 EARNING THE GREEN 2026 – A FULL CIRCLE MOMENT! 💙💚

We are thrilled to announce that our keynote speaker for Earning the Green 2026 will be one of our very own — Ms. Nihya Alston, WECHS Class of 2019!

There is something incredibly special about welcoming a former scholar back home to stand on the same stage where she was once recognized. Nihya once sat in the seats our current scholars now occupy — working hard, earning college credits, and celebrating this very milestone. And now, she returns to pour back into the next generation.

Join us as we celebrate our scholars who have earned at least 26+ college credits and are halfway to their associate degree!
