Last night's 2024 Earning the Green ceremony was a great success! We are thrilled by the tremendous support from our families, school district, and VGCC. We celebrated 28 scholars, and we are so proud of them! The sky is the limit for these talented students.

Yesterday, our day ended with a thrilling Black History Quiz Bowl, and I am pleased to announce that four teams competed in this exciting event. We want to extend a special congratulations to the winning team, Addyson Ainsworth and Alexander Whitaker, for their remarkable performance. Their knowledge and enthusiasm truly shone through.
We would also like to express my sincere gratitude to Mr. Moguel and Mrs. Aguilar for their exceptional efforts in ensuring that everything ran smoothly. Their dedication to making this event a success is greatly appreciated.

Kmira Richardson presented her project, "Strawberry DNA Precipitation" at the North Carolina Regional 3A Science and Engineering Fair. The competition took place this past Saturday at Wake Technical Community College in Raleigh. Great work, Kmira!




On Friday, we had our Term 2 Honors Celebration and we recognized scholars on the Honor Roll and Principal's List. We would also like to extend a special thank you to Boyd & Royster Funeral Service for sponsoring our celebration by providing a delicious pizza luncheon. Congratulations, scholars! Keep up the great work!


On Tuesday, our Biology Honors classes dissected a mealworm! These valuable learning tools were purchased with the help of Title 1 funds, making it possible for our scholars to have access to top-notch resources. Take a look at some snapshots of our future scientists in action! 🧬📚🎓
