Northside Parent Reminder: Teachers have already made contact with parents reminding them to pick up their child's items left at school no later than July 23, 2020 by 3:00 p.m. No items will be kept after that date, due to health safety reasons. Pick up days are Monday through Thursday from 9:00 to 3:00 p.m. If you need a different time, please contact the school. In addition, the semester calendar has been adopted as the Warren County Schools calendar for all schools. Currently students start school again on August 17, 2020. Of course, this may be subject to change depending upon Governor Roy Cooper. You will receive more information on how student instruction will take place in Warren County Schools (virtual, non-virtual or both) in the upcoming weeks.

Northside K-8 Parents: All promotion drive through ceremonies (Pre-K, K, 5th grade and 8th grade), due to the rain forecast for the entire week have now been rescheduled to June 22, 2020. The schedule is as follows: 8th grade (10:00 a.m.), K (11:30 a.m.), Pre-K (1:00 p.m.) and 5th grade (3:00 p.m.).

Northside K-8 Parents: Posting Correction:
End of the year promotion celebrations for milestone transitions PreK, Kindergarten, Fifth grade and Eighth grade are currently being worked on. Sixth grade entered previously was incorrect. On behalf of the staff members at Northside K-8 School we would like to wish you a safe Memorial Day Holiday. Slots are filling up fast for the PreK and Kindergarten program here at Northside K-8 School. Please look out for more information on a virtual parent meeting that will be scheduled for the month of June. Parents will be able to participate in the meeting via phone or online. The meeting will provide you with the latest updates as the school year is coming to an end soon. Starting June 1, 2020 writing prompts will be mailed out as the last student assignment for the school year. Teachers will check in with your child weekly to see if any writing support is needed.

Northside K-8 School Parent Reminder: Prek, Kindergarten and Dual Language Spanish Immersion Programs have started open enrollment for the 2020-2021 school year. Enrollment for all programs will end on May 12, 2020. Applications can be picked up and dropped off at the school during the hours of 8:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Special thank you to all our Northside families for picking up your child's second student learning packets. Special thank you to all our teachers and students for doing a fantastic job with remote learning both virtual and nonvirtual.

Ms. Aguilar at Northside K-8 conducted a Google Slides training yesterday. 42 staff members at Northside K-8 and Warren County Middle School participated. Teachers and staff are working hard to adjust to a new way of teaching our students.
