To every parent, guardian, and community member who joined us for Family Engagement Night: Thank you! Your presence spoke volumes.
Parent-Teacher conferences are so important. They give us the opportunity to align, to listen, and to build a shared vision for each child’s success. When families and educators come together, there’s no limit to what our students can achieve.
Recently, our Eagles Rock Envirothon Team took their talents to the Area IV Envirothon Competition, and made us proud every step of the way! 🦅
Hosted by the Johnson and Vance Soil & Water Districts at Owens Recreational Park in Louisburg, this hands-on competition challenged students across five key areas: aquatics, forestry, soils/land use, wildlife, and current environmental issues. 🌎
Shout out to our incredible students—Emily Martin, Logan Martin, Montashia Eaton, and Jenise Davis—for representing Warren County with knowledge, teamwork, and determination! 👏🏾
Special thanks to Dr. Laikhe Jones and Ms. Odessa Perry for supporting and guiding our students throughout the experience.
We love to see our Eagles learning, leading, and making an impact! 🦅

🧪 In the Kitchen Chemistry lab 🧪
Ms. Aumentado's students explored how Physical Science connects to everyday life by testing common household substances with a cabbage indicator. They observed color changes to identify whether materials were acidic, basic, or neutral, while practicing careful observation and scientific thinking.
The activity helped students see that chemistry is present in ordinary tasks such as cooking and cleaning. It also reinforced the importance of safety by teaching students that certain chemicals, such as bleach and ammonia, should never be mixed because they can produce dangerous fumes.

History is in the making, Warren County! 🏀🦅

Yesterday, Ms. Douglas’ 12th grade English class stepped out of the classroom and into living history with an eye-opening visit to the International Civil Rights Center & Museum in Greensboro.
What they’ve been reading about in textbooks became real as students stood in the very space where four young men sparked a movement that changed the course of our nation. From powerful exhibits to thought-provoking conversations, the experience connected literature, history, and lived truth in a way only firsthand learning can.
Shoutout to Ms. Douglas for creating opportunities that inspire critical thinking and meaningful dialogue. And, thank you to Ms. Carter and Mrs. Turrentine for serving as chaperones.
Experiences like this stay with students long after the bell rings.
